The Founder's Story
I was working as an elementary substitute teacher, helping a third grader during reading time, and I watched him struggle as he tried to read a book. I could see how hard he was trying and how difficult reading was for him. As, I continued substituting in different elementary schools, I began noticing a similar pattern. Every child learned at a different pace, and many needed more time, encouragement, and engaging ways to practice reading.

When schools closed during the COVID-19 pandemic, parents suddenly found themselves taking on the role of a teacher for their children at home. As I watched children from around the world draw colorful rainbows in their windows as symbols of hope and encouragement, I realized rainbows could also become a symbol of learning for children.
My experiences in the classroom and watching families navigate learning at home inspired me to create educational clothing that would make learning more engaging, interactive, and fun for children. This is how the foundation for Rainbows of Learning was created.
